Each neighborhood in Nashville is quite different, each boasting its own unique qualities and local favorites. Sylvan Park is a neighborhood in West Nashville and offers easy access to major roads and highways. You’ll find it to be a fairly quiet neighborhood, just 10-15 minutes from Downtown Nashville (depending on traffic). Some of our local favorites in the neighborhood range from great outdoor areas to trendy coffee shops, all shared below.
This coffee shop has two locations, one of which is in Sylvan Park! Dose is right off of I-440 and walkable from several streets in Sylvan Park. The staff is friendly, they have outdoor seating available, and the coffee is delicious. We recommend trying the lavender latte and their rosemary biscuit sandwich (yes, they have food, too).
McCabe Golf Course/McCabe Community Center
Not a golfer? No problem, McCabe Golf Course also has a nice paved trail you can take a nice walk or run on. If you do happen to be a golfer, the course is very nice and features 27 holes.
Wags & Whiskers
If you have a furry friend, such as a dog or a cat, then we recommend paying the team at Wags and Whiskers a visit. They have three locations here in Nashville, one of which is near Sylvan Park. If you’re looking for a dog washing station or are just looking for some toys or treats for your cat or dog, this is your place!
Looking for some delicious Italian food? Just in the heart of Sylvan Park is Cafe Nonna, also surrounded by several other restaurants and bars. Their bruschetta (they have more than one option here!) and Lasagna Bolognese are both amazing and we cannot recommend them enough!
