Though the spring and summer are great times of the year to buy, winter is the real MVP. There are a few reasons why the winter season might be your time to buy, especially here in Nashville.
Less Competition
The Nashville real estate market is already really competitive, but during the winter it’s great as there are (usually) fewer people trying to buy homes. Some people may be hesitant to even look at houses when the weather isn’t nice, so fewer offers are being made as well, which is great from a buyer’s perspective. Just think – you might find your dream house that could otherwise have several offers on it if it hit the market in the spring or summer.
Motivated Sellers
Since there are typically fewer buyers during the winter months, sellers are more motivated to get their homes sold. That being said, you might be able to snag more of a “deal” during the winter, which is a plus. Sellers are often more likely to work with you on closing dates and other fees since they might be trying to get into a new house they are buying, too.
Movers Availability
Moving companies are typically less busy during the winter months as well, so you wouldn’t have to worry about booking them to help you with your move. Even if you had to move quickly, that shouldn’t be a problem depending on who you are using.
